About Zulu
Zulu UC Desktop Integration streamlines your desktop phone with popular business communication tools & applications. In order to use the Zulu module, you must first install the application on your desktop. Please find instructions under bHosted Admin Support.
SMS Text Messages
Zulu users can send SMS messages from their Zulu widget, Outlook, or their User Control Panel.
Chat
The Zulu UC Soft Phone features integrated Chat functionality which allows staff members the ability to communicate with each other more effectively.
Presence Management
Presence Status allows applications to show the current status of a user. Users can choose from a number of status options to reflect their current availability. If you are using Sangoma phones the Presence Status of other users in your organization will be displayed on your phone when placing internal calls.
Instructions
You can change your Status from the
Zulu Taskbar by clicking on the Zulu Icon:

Clicking on the Presence State will bring up a drop down of presence status options from which to select (available, chat, away, DND, etc).

Clicking an option updates your status.
You can also see your current status from within the Zulu application:

Your current Presence Status appears in the lower left corner.

Click on the Current Status and you can select a new status from the menu.
You can also opt to have your Presence Status update automatically when your computer goes idle. When you return to your workstation the Status reverts to its former state:
Bring up your Zulu Configuration screen by clicking on the Zulu Icon in the taskbar.
Scroll down to Presence Setting Section where you can set the following options:
My status when away – which status would you like to display when your computer is idle?
Set me away automatically after – How many minutes of mouse/keyboard inactivity before switching to “away” status?
