DNS & Email Administration

BendTel provides this tool to allow email account owners, or domain owners, the ability to make changes to your email, dns, or vacation message services.

To make changes to individual email accounts, click on the link below. When prompted for a username & password, enter your full complete email address as the username (i.e. johndoe@bendtel.net) and then enter your current password. The password is case-sensitive so be sure to double check that your caps key is not on if you have login problems.

To make administrative changes to your domains email, DNS, or web hosting settings you will need to have an administrators login. To obtain this access, please give BendTel support a call (541-389-4020) and we will gladly setup your adminsitration account.

Once you have your administrative account setup for your domain, you will be able to use the domain name as the username and then enter your password.

Mail Settings

Starting the Spring of 2009, BendTel will begin the process of reinforcing the security of the shared email hosting mail system. We will be restricting mail relay through the customer related mail server to SMTP Authenticated users/clients only. Basically, what this means, is you must have a valid email account hosted on the mail server for it to allow you to send to users that are not hosted on that server.

  • POP3: mail.bendtel.net or mail.example.com [1] [2]
  • IMAP: mail.bendtel.net or mail.example.com [1] [2]
  • SMTP: mail.bendtel.net or mail.example.com [1] [3]

Note: If you are not on the BendTel network, you will be required to enable SMTP Authentication to send message using our mail servers. If you are on the BendTel network, it is still recommended that you enable SMTP Authentication. Also, if you are not on the BendTel network and you are having problems with sending messages using the bendtel mail servers, you might need to use our alternate SMTP port number. Our alternate port number is 1025. Use this instead of the default port of 25.
