BendTel Peering

Unlike many other commodity Internet providers, BendTel takes pride in maintaining peering sessions so that your traffic is handed off directly to the network that serves your destination. This is in stark contrast to many other providers who choose one or two upstream providers and route all traffic directly to them. BendTel gives you direct, low-latency connections to a wide selection of networks, including Google, Microsoft/MSN, Yahoo, Akamai, Time Warner, and others.

High Speed & Low Latency

BendTel's UltraPipe service is the fastest DSL product available in Central Oregon! BendTel offers speeds ranging from 3Mbps to 24Mbps downstream. BendTel tunes our UltraPipe service to provide the lowest latency possible, and it shows. Most UltraPipe users experience between 5 milliseconds and 12 milliseconds round-trip latency (better known as "ping time"), making this service ideal for power users. Low latency is also critical for Voice over IP (VoIP) and Video Conferencing applications.

Ethernet First Mile

Ethernet First Mile (EFM) is BendTel's premier Internet service. It is an extremely reliable and full duplex internet service with "guaranteed" bandwidth speeds up to 45Mbps downstream and upstream. Prices are very affordable beginning at $230 per month for 5Mbps/5Mbps EFM service.

UltraPipe aDSL & aDSL2 Plus

Do you need fast connectivity without the price tag of a T1 or EFM? Are you tired of the local service monopoly pushing you around, or not getting the bandwidth you're paying for? Try UltraPipe service for as low as $49 per month. At 3Mbps down and 1Mbps up, this is a great service for a small business who needs quick Internet access at affordable rates. All UltraPipe aDSL and aDSL2 Plus services are "guaranteed" bandwidth speeds, unlike other DSL providers who only offer "up to" bandwidth speeds. Several service levels are available:

T1 Services

Single

MegaPipe is BendTel's T-1 Internet service. BendTel maintains three tiers of MegaPipe T1 service. All MegaPipes provide full duplex 1.544Mbps service, that is, a simultaneous 1.544Mbps upstream and 1.544Mbps downstream. In addition these T1s do not have any port restrictions. Combined with our expert support staff, and top quality IP network, MegaPipe provides an excellent service for users of all sizes. The low latency and faster upstream speeds of T-1 technology make our MegaPipe service a good choice for customers who have interactive data applications or a requirement to ship large files upstream.

• MegaPipe 1 T-1 service for small business users who use up to 75 Gigabytes of data transfer per month
• MegaPipe 2 T-1 service for small and medium sized businesses who use up to 175 Gigabytes of data transfer per month
• MegaPipe 3 T-1 service for small, medium and large sized businesses, as well as resellers and service providers, with no limit per month on data transfer

In the rare chance you exceed your data transfer amount, your service will continue unimpeded. If it happens over consecutive months we may suggest a plan upgrade or a small additional monthly fee. We can deliver MegaPipe T-1 circuits to most locations throughout Oregon.

Bonded T-1 or Multilink

All of the aforementioned MegaPipe T-1 services can be "bonded" to increase bandwidth and will deliver the same reliable full duplex service (2 bonded T-1s provide over 3Mbps/3Mbps, 3 bonded T-1s provide over 4.6Mbps/4.6Mbps and so forth). These multiple T-1 circuits, or Multi-link services, provide high quality bandwidth with very low latency and much higher capacity. Larger customers, web hosting providers or downstream service providers who are out of range for Ethernet First Mile or cannot afford a fiber build out find this service very affordable.

Point-to-Point

T-1 technology is most often utilized in point-to-point applications involving voice, data or the combination of voice and data applications which physically tie multiple locations together.

T3 / OCn

If you already have SONET services installed in your building, or you need SONET based services in conjunction with High speed Internet, then SONET based Internet service is the natural choice. With industry standard SONET hardware, BendTel can deliver Internet at DS3 (T3), OC3, OC12 and OC48 capacity. That's 45Mbps to 2.5Gbps!

Fiber Services

Build-Out Process: There are several steps to a fiber build-out involving SONET. First, we determine your proximity to one of several POPs (Points of Presence) where BendTel or one of its partner networks maintains fiber. Second, we use contractors to determine the cost to reach your premises with fiber. Each installation has different requirements. You may want diverse fiber feeds into opposite ends of your building from multiple carriers, or simply a 10 Megabit internet connection. Give us a call and we can provide an estimate to build any level of fiber connectivity needed.

Qwest ADSL

BendTel provides fast and easy to use ADSL service throughout the State of Oregon. With over 120 Qwest provisioned DSLAMs in Central Oregon and over 5,000 through the Portland LATA, BendTel service is available almost anywhere you can get a phone line.

Ethernet

BendTel can deliver Ethernet services to your premise. If you do not already have fiber from BendTel or one of our partner networks, we will provide you with a quote for finished services with gigabit or 10 gigabit ethernet. We can connect you to regional and national carriers and provide high-speed Internet access, all on the same fiber circuit. Ethernet over fiber is the next-generation solution for voice, video, telephone and the Internet.
